In July and August, 2024, two fieldwork campaigns have been organized in Bâlea glacial cirque. A rock slope failure deposit on the north-exposed slope of the cirque and nearby moraines were sampled for 10Be surface exposure dating. A total of 10 rock samples were collected and sent for further processing. Besides, a debris deposit located on the eastern side of Bâlea glacial lake raised interest in the issue of Holocene debris flow activity. Two electrical resistivity profiles (one longitudinal, and one transversal) have been performed in the lower sector of this deposit, with the purpose of obtaining an estimate of the deposit thickness and characteristics.
